The capital city of Uruguay is a pleasant city, but it should be viewed before one sees Buenos Aires because that Argentine city is a hard act to follow. We took a city tour of Montevideo, and we saw the major sites in the city. Besides driving through some of the neighborhoods, we made five stops: the building that houses the Uruguayan congress, a small park on the river, the main square and the site of two ususual statues. The photos in this album were taken through the bus window on the tour. Those that are of special things are identified, and the others were just things I found interesting.
