It's hard to imagine what it's like to see as many orchids as were on display at the 2nd annual Orchid Festival in Chiang Mai. From the moment we got off the tram that took us from a parking area to the orchid display, we were surrounded by orchids of every color imaginable. There were pink ones, blue ones, gold, orange yellow and striped ones. It's hard to believe that the normal orchid colored flowers, beautiful as they were, jujst blended into the scene. Here are some of the orchids we saw. The blooms ranged in size from about a tenth of an inch to perhaps seven or eight inches and they were in every color of the rainbow. There were solid color orchids, striped orchids, polka dot orchids and orchids of two and three shades. It was an amazing sight, so I invite you to enjoy the orchids as we saw them.
