Our trip to Tahiti was tacked on to the beginning of a trip to Australia and New Zealand when we found out that we had the right to a stopover. We visited both Papeete and Bora Bora, and we would have liked another day to visit Moorea which was within sight of our hotel. The hotels in Tahiti park their most luxurius and expensive rooms on stilts over the water. The rooms are individual buildings with all the luxuries of a regular hotel room plus the exciting idea of sleeping over the water. Our hotel was just gorgeous.
