New Year's Eve (6 images)

It's funny how we used to be such night owls, but this year we decided that we wanted to be home before the drunks got out on the highways so with Brenda and Frank joining us, we heaed out to Pico's.

The dish of choice was chiles en nogada, a Mexican specialty of chile peppers stuffed with shredded pork in a walnut and raisin sauce. Over the top a white creamy sauce is poured and then pomegranet seeds are sprinkled on top of that. The flavor of the sauce is unusual and very delicious.
