The Drottningholm Palace (22 images)
Although the official palace of Sweden is in the Old Town, Drottningholm is the location of the palace where the Royal Family actually lives. It is surrounded by a beautiful park. Within the park is the beautiful Chinese Pavilion and another interesting structure where the guards live that is painted to look like a tent.

It is absolutely amazing how the palace is so open. People can wander around the park at their will, and visit with their families there. There is an exhibition floor in the palace and also an historic theater but we didn't have time to visit either.
