Dalarna (17 images)
I don't really know the names of the towns we stopped in, but the first one had a couple of interesting and unusual statues: one was a bear, and the other reminded me of Lawrence Welk. That town had some lovely buildings, too.

The second place we stopped was at a famous factory where the Dalarna horses are made. It seems that the wooden horses mostly painted red, are one of the symbols of Sweden. I don't think that fact is too well known outside the country's borders, but they sure do make a lot of them, and ostensibly sell all of them.

The place we stopped is the most famous of the horse makers, and we saw the steps taken in the making of the horses in all different sizes. They also had a few larger horses available for photo ops.

A rest stop was made at a huge place with a grass roof.
