Amazingly, according to the locals with whom we spoke, the weather we had experienced above the Arctic Circle was the warmest ever, but sometime in the afternoon of the fourth day, that changed and a jacket became necessary.

When stopped at a small hotel and gift shop for our afternoon rest spot, we were delighted to find out that the weather was turning more normal. Little did we know what else the cold weather was bringing.
