A HUSKY FARM (29 images)
After the city tour, we hired a car and driver who took us to a farm where they raised huskies for snow travel. We saw all of the new puppies and the young dogs who were getting used to the harness.

After visiting with the dogs, we sat around a camp fire and had Finnish pancakes the lady of the farm made for us.

The summer is their slow time. During the winter groups of tourists arrive almost daily for rides on the husky pulled sleds. While waiting for their ride, the tourists rest and warm up in a large building built for that purpose, or in one of two large wooden teepees that add more authenticity to the experience.
