We flew from Johannesburg to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, on South African Airways. All was well until we got to Vic Falls when we had to stand in line for a visa. Our group was the first off the plane, and we should have been first in line, but none of us knew that we were supposed to fill out a visa application before getting in line. Everyone went to the tables to fill out the yellow form and the rest of the people on the plane got ahead of us. We ended up waiting for a long, long time. Once we arrived in the country, I noticed that the scenery from the airport all the way into town was identical. At one point we had to stop for some sort of check up. We all decided that it must have been some form of forcing a brige. The town of Vic Falls has nothing to attract tourists other than its proximity to Victoria Falls. The town itself was very dull, but the roads we traveled in Zimbabwe were the most exciting on the trip. Twice while driving along ordinary roads we saw elephants just walking along, or crossing the road. That was the most exciting part of Zimbabwe as far as I was concerned.
