We visited Swaziland after our visit to Hluhluwe when we left South Africa and drove it. The kingdom of Swaziland, one of the few absolute monarchies still functioning in the world today, is tucked between South Africa and Mozambique along the Eastern coast. During apartheid Swaziland was a playground for South Africans who wanted to gamble, see porn movies or have interracial sex, all things the Calvinist leaders of South Africa had made illegal. Today, its sinful reputation is in the past, and it is the natural beauty of Swaziland that attracts so many South Africans to its hotels and camps.
