Sandton is the suburb of Johannesburg where we spent the last night in South Africa. There wasn't anything of interest in Sandton other than some great shopping. Our guide took us to a very nice souvenir store where everything we had seen in South Africa was available. Their prices were the same or less than in other stores, and the quality was excellent. Our hotel had a most wonderful location, adjacent to a mall. There was an entrance to the mall right off the lobby. And what a mall it was! I wish we had had more time to shop there. We had our farewell dinner in the private Colony Restaurant in the hotel. It was an excellent buffet open only to our group. The next day we all left South Africa. Some of the group came home to the US, but Laura and I stayed with the group that went on.
