We visited Poznan in 1987 (see Poland page for 1987 album) and then again on this trip, and I was absolutely delighted and amazed at the change!!!
During communist times the buildings were drab and dull, and it's wonderful to see how beautifully bright and cheerful those very same buildings are now. It is a great way to compare communism to democracy.
This town was my second favorite on the entire trip because of the fantastic surprise the main square gave me. And to make things even more wonderful, they were having a festival while we were there.
