Astarte, called Star, was born in San Antonio in August of 1980 and passed away in September of 1993 after surgery to remove a malignant tumor that had grown back only three months after the first surgery. She was a happy, cheerful, playful and intelligent cat. She was also afraid of anything that she was unfamiliar with. Star never weighed more than six pounds and kept her youthful figute until she died. She never searched for food unless it was mealtime, and then she never overate. She NEVER begged at the table unlike Dulcie. Star was a lap sitter, and she chose to sleep on the pillow next to my head. When she picked her place, Dulcie became jealous and moved from the foot of the bed to sleep nestled in my armpit, so I was warmed by two loving kitties.
