THE 15th ARRONDISSEMENT (29 images)
We stayed in the 15th Arrondissement in Paris. The city is divided into 20 areas called arrondissements. The 15th is very close to the Eiffel Tower, so it is an ideal location. Our hotel, a small three star hotel with incredibly tiny rooms, was located near the intersection of three Metro (subway) lines so transportation was incredibly easy to any part of the city. There were several exellent cafes and bistros near our hotel as well as a supermarket with a fantastic bakery and a McDonald's. On Sunday we were surprised to find an outdoor market near our hotel, and we enjoyed browsing through it. I was very surprised to see that meat, fish and other foodstuff was sold at these outdoor facilities. It looked more like something I'd expect to find in an Asian country than in Western Europe. I saw the biggest strawberries I've ever seen at the market. We saw a lot of the tiny cars that you will see photos of.
