Sunday Market (65 images)
On Sunday we took a bus to the northernmost part of the island to visit a special market that is held only on Sunday. There weren't many items of interest to us, but we did enjoy seeing the people in their unusual clothing selling everything imaginable. The one thing that absolutely amazed me was the lady with the video rental blanket. Evidently you rented a video from her one Sunday and returned it the following Sunday. After the market we stopped at a village that specialized in training horses and watched the men of the village showing off their horsemanship. We got a chance to visit with some of the children, also. And also included in this album are some photos of the mostly stilted homes we saw on the way there and back.
