We visited the ferry dock where one can catch a ferry to Helsinki. For approximately $40, you can go round trip to Finland, and vice versa. The trip takes four hours on a normal ferry or one and a half hours on a hydrofoil.
Tallin was the site of the yatching venue when the USSR hosted the Olympics in 19__ and we visited the marina where the races were held.
We also saw a couple of ultra modern churches that caught my eye. And our first experience with a gift shop in Estonia was very disappointing because the prices were so outrageous. They wanted $30 US for a simple 7 or 8 inch doll with only a stick for a body, empty sleeves with hands sewn at the ends dressed in simple cotton clothes. A similar doll in a craft store in the US would cost no more than $15 or $20 at the most.
